Beautiful Lake Hodges--when I visited just last week. The radio reports say that just about every structure around the lake is burned to the ground.

Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of a group of diehard staff members and to the many firefighters that joined the fight, the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park was saved. The actions of staff and firefighters saved thousands of other lives.
