Looks like the Black Phoebe father is back to teach the little ones to fly and catch flying insects

With the addition of the five healthy babies their are now 7 Black Phoebes eating flys outside of my home. It's awesome!

They all look pretty similar. Their is no difference in markings between the male and the female.

The babies were grabbed from the nest by the parents and tossed on the roof(to avoid the cat) or out of the nest.

This Black Phoebe(Sayornis Nigricans) just became a new mom with a nest full of little babies born this past weekend right in the front of my home.

Black Phoebe's have a distinct distress signal. They will increase the pace dramatically to call for help when they sing which I heard 3 different times and sure enough their was a threat.
