The Sunset Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios is about an hour and a half from the airport in Montego Bay.

This resort ceased operations as a Sunset property in September 2014. It is undergoing renovations and will reopen as a Moon Palace property.

Our room was bright, spacious and clean though you could tell it needed upgrading. I appreciated the towel swans the maid left on the bed.

I highly recommend an excursion to Dunn's River, but not for the mobility challenged!

Though you can walk the Falls on your own, it's worth going up with a guide.

We enjoyed walking along the road outside the resort and shopping in local stores.

One of the sellers in the flea market. Everyone has their own "pitch" to stand out. This guy billed himself as "the genius."

Though the street vendors were aggressive, we received some helpful tips from the local tourist police who were stationed approx. every 500 feet.
