joeywan: This cooking kick in 2014 is still going strong! I made 三杯u (three cup chicken), a Taiwanese favorite. I love that I was able to make the dish in a claypot passed down from my grandmother. Who knew t hat baking soda on chicken tenderizes it so perfectly!

joeywan: Cooked with a new ingredient we hardly ever use at home but I love in restaurants - leeks! I modified a typical Chinese dish and made pork with leeks and shacha sauce. It brought me back to HK.

joeywan: Glad to be back home and cooking again. It doesn't look like much, but the mushroom bourbon cream sauce on this chicken was heavenly. I'm learning how to make good sauces and boil down alcohol to increase flavor!
