jimonthemove:
So at either end of the trip to England, I went to New York.
jimonthemove:
It wasn't quite as cold as England.
jimonthemove:
This was my local. Kind of.
jimonthemove:
They served awesome chicken wings.
jimonthemove:
Red hot, they were. Really tasty.
jimonthemove:
I went there three times, just for the chicken wings.
jimonthemove:
And of course there were other pubs.
jimonthemove:
This is the lovely Brazilian barmaid from Firehouse, whose name I'd only spell wrong if I tried.
jimonthemove:
And this is Dave.
jimonthemove:
I had expected to take lots of touristy photos, like this.
jimonthemove:
Pictures of things like the Empire State, Statue of Liberty, that kinda thing.
jimonthemove:
But I didn't, because I realised that I JUST DIDN"T CARE.
jimonthemove:
I've seen all of those things a thousand times on TV.
jimonthemove:
I can google an image anytime I want, so why waste my time seeing them 'in real life'?
jimonthemove:
I much prefered walking around the streets, listening to peoples conversations, soaking up the city.
jimonthemove:
St Paddy's day was pretty crazy.
jimonthemove:
Everything goes green.
jimonthemove:
But yeah, I just walked around a lot.
jimonthemove:
And met people.
jimonthemove:
New York is such a friendly city.
jimonthemove:
So much friendlier than England.
jimonthemove:
It took a while for me to warm to the place.
jimonthemove:
But by the time I left it, I loved it.
jimonthemove:
This is Grand Central Station.
jimonthemove:
It's very impressive.
jimonthemove:
Quite different from those back home.
jimonthemove:
New York was nothing like I'd expected it to be.
jimonthemove:
...
jimonthemove:
...
jimonthemove:
This is Amber.
