jewelflyt: 1/31 the beginning, a very good place to start
jewelflyt: 2/31: She tapped her finger & nothing happened & she thought she had lost her magic, but it had only changed & it took her awhile to figure it out.
jewelflyt: 3/31: What color are souls? she said & I said, Color isn't that much of an issue when you're talking souls.
jewelflyt: 4/31: How many people can you love before it's too much? she said & I said I didn't think there was any real limit as long as you didn't care if they loved you back.
jewelflyt: 5/13: Don't you hear it? she asked & I shook my head no & then she started to dance & suddenly there was music everywhere & it went on for a very long time & when I finally found words all I could say was thank you.
jewelflyt: 6/31: Hasn't started to make sense of the world yet but thinks it's beautiful all the same.
jewelflyt: 7/31: I do much better as a goddess, she said, since my secretarial skills have always been limited
jewelflyt: 8/31: I carry you with me into the world, into the smell of rain & the words that dance between people & for me, it will always be this way, walking in the light, remembering being alive together
jewelflyt: 9/31: I've read a lot of books, so I know bunches of stuff that sounds like it could be true.

jewelflyt: 11/31: I spent a long time trying to find my center until I looked closely one night & found it had wheels & moved easily in the slightest breeze, so now I spend less time sitting and more time sailing.
jewelflyt: 12/31: light & laughter
jewelflyt: 13/31: this is a magical beast that holds the secret of light & shadow in a safe place in her heart & when it has been too long grey, she starts to dance & laugh & cry & sing & the sunlight fills her up & spills in wild abandon back into the world again
jewelflyt: 14/31: Things are getting weird around here again, she said. How can you tell, I said. Just look at them, she said. They're all acting normal. You know how much effort that takes?
jewelflyt: 15/31: I don't really have any secrets, she told me once. I just forget a lot of stuff.
jewelflyt: 16/31: That's not my real reflection, she said. I've changed so much since then most people barely recognize me.
jewelflyt: 17/31: When I grow up, I want to remember that I always wanted to be about a thousand different things & one lifetime didn't seem nearly enough. When I grow up, I hope it's at the very end when it doesn't matter anymore anyway
jewelflyt: 18/31: Today she decided to be suitably ambiguous, so you can think whatever you like about her (Amount of time scheduled for the opinions of others = Zero)
jewelflyt: 19/31: My favorite thing is the wind, she said, & my second favorite is chocolate but I just do that so I don't get too skinny & blow away
jewelflyt: 20/31: Coffee smells like freshly ground heaven.
jewelflyt: 21/31: I've always liked the time before dawn because there's no one around to remind me who I'm supposed to be, so it's easier to remember who I am
jewelflyt: 22/31: Someday perhaps the inner light will shine forth from us, and then we'll need no other light.

jewelflyt: 24/31: Gardening requires lots of water - most of it in the form of perspiration.
jewelflyt: 25/31: if there's no laughter, I know they're not for me.....
jewelflyt: 26/31: When she held out her arms, the world itself wrapped around me & held me tight.
jewelflyt: 27/31: Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of. You know whatever you do, they'll still be there.
jewelflyt: 28/31: this is the exact center of the universe which explains why none of the usual rules apply here
jewelflyt: 29/31: If you can't laugh at yourself, my grandpa told me, you're not doing enough stupid things. I told him I didn't usually run out of stupid things, but it's hard to laugh that long at anything.
jewelflyt: 30/31: I'm on my way to the future, she said & I said, But you're just sitting there listening & she smiled & said, It's harder than you'd think with all the noise everyone else is making.
