jeffreyw: and 1 cup of buttermilk
jeffreyw: simmer for a few hours
jeffreyw: serve over the rice, cornbread works well
jeffreyw: and the bacon, chopped or crumbled
jeffreyw: the batter should need coaxing out, but a wooden spoon won't stand up
