dining room table is the parts depot. Lots of hours on the 'net shopping for all the required parts. Almost all parts bought from the internet because I have little to no local places to buy stuff.

bodywork-spare bedroom is now the body shop. The aluminum is all flat panels awaiting bending and forming.

Stalker floors marked & ready to cut. Temporary white vinyl on one side. 2" thick poly rigid foam layed on garage floor to cut on, using PorterCable VS jig saw and bi-metal blade.

first drive-Had a little trouble with the take-up action on the clutch as you can see by the rubber on the driveway. Quick, quick car!!!!! After 18 months the clutch take up is still narrow but I am use to it, now.

first drive-around the block a couple times and nothing fell off or exploded. Lots of funny looks and waves from neighbors.

The hood latch is for some type of Cessna airplane cockpit window. Every other type of part on it so an airplane part fits perfect. Removed the hinge later and moved it to the inside of the cockpit.

No windscreen yet. Should I cut out front of hood scoop??? Maybe just some holes?? Don't know if the added airflow to the engine compartment helps or not. I did cut the scoop out and built a grill for it.

partway open with temporary prop rod. Have to figure out a permanant way to do the prop rod. Ended up w/2 gas/spring hood struts

Almost ready for paint. Pretty much complete except for some little things. Need a bigger coolent overflow tank. Many small changes since this picture.

Got passenger seat in today along with a new and sturdier bellhousing inspection plate. 10" windshield is too short. Changed to 12".

Headers with ceramic paint that I have to redo. Learn by doing. paint instuctions say to apply thin coat but I put the paint on too thin and it did not cover well. Repainted with 2 thin coats.

Both cars out at the end of the drive while I removed EVERYTHING from the garage and washed the floor. Got all the overspray off. Prepping for painting. Soon I hope

Test load of Stalker. Have to stop at weight scale in the moring to have it weighed at certified scale B4 going to DMV. Weighted 1520 lb. on certified scale but I had a bunch of tools and stuff in the car. Also the scale had to be recalibrated for the lac

Needed a 2nd person to yell "STOP". About 1 hour in the 96* heat to unstick it and park it on the street in front of house. Gotta leave at 7 AM tomorrow for DMV

Wanted to park truck&trailer in other driveway but got stuck. Rear wheels off the gound on truck. Hitch is high centered

Got stuck backing into shell drive.Had to disconect trailer to move truck and move the trailer foward 2 feet with 6' 2x4 lever to get truck hooked up again

Truck is overkill but it is all they had. At $3.59/gal. I hope it doesn't get 5 MPG. DMV is 200 miles round trip. Plus $ .69/mile for truck. The whole trip to the DMV cost $230 with rental and gas.

After 3 months of hassle from the state of Florida and a 7 hour trip to the DMV I have a legal car. Titled, registred and tagged.
