bubbaisme: where injectors go
bubbaisme: FI fuel rails-full of green snot-old smelly fuel and who knows what else-some of the worst looking crap I have ever seen came out of the fuel rails and injectors
bubbaisme: FI injector tip. Engine fired after cleaning out snot but only on one cylinder-need 6 new injectors-4 years with old gas very, very bad. Cleaned injectors w/carb cleaner set up and all 6 injectors have worked great for the last 2 years.
bubbaisme: pressurize syringe with carb cleaner-hit switch 3-4 times and injector should spray. I am back flushing the injecter in this picture. All 6 injecters came back to life and work fine after 36 months
bubbaisme: how to clean injectors with carb cleaner, syringe and momentary 12v switch. Also need an injecter connector. Momentarily apply 12v to grounded injector and the solenoid operates, the pressure built up in the syringe sprays cab cleaner thru injector.
bubbaisme: 6 cleaned and working injectors with all new o-rings. The old o-rings were fairly brittle and broke when removing them.
bubbaisme: This is where I thought the yellow top right wire came from but it doesn't. Wire is for #6 injector.
bubbaisme: #6 injector yellow wire. No connecter ever on the wire-just stuck in ECM somewhere but I don't know where. Found where to put the wire from a pinout chart I found on line at a Fiero site. Crimped on new connecter and all is fine.
bubbaisme: air cleaner inside car
bubbaisme: air intake-thru the fire wall to get cooler air to engine and also to avoid any bends in the intake tract.
bubbaisme: throttle cable- I wasn't completely happy with the original setup. I'll try this cable setup to see how it works. Old setup is still usable but will get modified if the cable setup works right. Cable setup has worked perfect for 3 years.
bubbaisme: using the original bracket just for the pivot for the gas pedal. Since removed completely in favor of a cable throttle and different pedal.
bubbaisme: As you can see by the yellow wire I have not got the terminal to fix the wiring problem. "It's in the Mail" says the guy who built the harness for the engine.
bubbaisme: heat shield for passenger side with O2 sensor coming thru it. Has since been made smaller.
bubbaisme: The final configuration--for now--maybe
bubbaisme: This might be the final configuration for the routing of lines and stuff under the hood. Blue line going thru the firewall is for boost gauge. It is teed off of line to fuel pressure regulater.
bubbaisme: PCV-Correct order of spring,valve and o-ring.
bubbaisme: PCV 1
