jchriscook: Day #1: The weather later in the week is going to be iffy, so I decided to brave the winds and take down the garland and wreath from the house. January is here... sigh.
jchriscook: Day #2: Finishing out the night with my Bible. I'm part of a bunch of folks who are taking the year to read the Gospels together and spend time talking about what God is telling us. Love being a part of this!
jchriscook: Day #3: Julia has started "dancing" to the music of a favorite toy. It plays different songs and she has different dances for each. I love her enthusiasm for her newfound fun!
jchriscook: Day #4: Jocelyn tries a new recipe. One pan lasagna! Yum!
jchriscook: Day #5: We've noticed an increase in the Earth's gravitational pull since the holidays (read: the news from the scale was not good), so we're hittin' the mall to get some exercise!
jchriscook: Day #6: An evening ritual - for months now, Julia finishes out the day watching Baby Signing Time. She absolutely loves it and sometimes gets really excited and roars at the TV!
jchriscook: Day 7: We had a mercy mission out in Ann Arbor with the Carnills, so we couldn't resist a trip to Zingerman's!
jchriscook: Day #9: Got together to pray with a great group of people who want to launch a recovery program for teens. Love this group of people!
jchriscook: Day #8: Hanging with our favorite Steeler fans. Pittsburg is going to have to get something going. Good thing the sweet potato fries are a hit!
jchriscook: Day #10: Julia had a rough day today with those teeth coming in, so it was nice to finish out the night with some contented time at her activity table. Here's to a quiet, restful night for our little girl.
jchriscook: Day #11: Always a great night getting down to the North American International Auto Show with some friends for a preview!
jchriscook: Day #12: The line-up of toys after routine cleaning at Julia's daycare. A little creepy.
jchriscook: Day #13: Self Portrait
jchriscook: Day #14: This is a Vacuum Switching Valve for a 2002 Toyota Camry and the latest casualty in my DIY ways. It broke during a routine air filter change and a $15 repair ended up costing $65. Glad I got away that cheap.
jchriscook: Day #15: I've run a temperature since yesterday morning, so now we're bringing out the big guns: Jocelyn's homemade Pasta Fagioli Soup!
jchriscook: Day #16: Working on blog post tonight. Got something really important to talk about. Hope it comes to me before midnight.
jchriscook: Day #17: Heart Day Family Celebration! Julia's one year anniversary of her heart surgery!
jchriscook: Day #18: Residential Home Health Employee Rally at the Gem Theatre - Best Vibe in Detroit tonight!
jchriscook: Day #19: Fun Date Night at the Fox Theatre!
jchriscook: Day #20: Julia's afternoon ~ her first haircut (not a fan), lunch with dad and some time for contemplation after her nap.
jchriscook: Day #21: My backup camera bit the biscuit. Off to Canon service... Bleh.
jchriscook: Day #22: Cribbage ~ one of the few medications for midwinter cabin fever.
jchriscook: Day #23: Headed home with some co-conspirators after a benchmarking trip at Brighton Nazarene Church
jchriscook: Day #24: Julia is still very into her cards!
jchriscook: Day #26: Dinner with Julia while Mom gets a night out.
jchriscook: Day #25: Pastors' breakfast with some friends from Israel/Palestine learning the stages of reconciliation that they have discovered.
jchriscook: Day #27: Took some time to check out the Rembrandt Exhibit at the DIA. Very crowded but very good. Take a morning off and go.
jchriscook: Day #28: A Celebration of Julia's Eyelashes...
jchriscook: Day #29: Greek Omelette in the hometown Coney I worked at twenty five years ago!
jchriscook: Day #30: Julia is doing her best to keep it together while Mom's away at her Bible study! Please pray for Dad!
