On approach to cross the mighty Mississippi River on I-57 near Cairo Illinois. This route took us about 50 miles out of our way. The crossing on U.S. Highway 62 is a shorter route. DSC09737-01

Once across the Mississippi River, we enter the flat lands of southeast Missouri...home of Boomland. Boomland is a tourist stop to get gas, souvenirs, fireworks and more things than I can list here. DSC09740-01
