Jack's Instrument Services: Thin quilted maple veneer added over the guitar's top. It must be 1mm thick
Jack's Instrument Services: La pièce de résistance - Epiphone branded humbuckers
Jack's Instrument Services: Off centre truss rod cover??
Jack's Instrument Services: Here's my favourite muck up. The glued in neck is covered in excess glue which hasn't been cleaned off! the woodglue splodges are trapped under the clear laquer!
Jack's Instrument Services: Here's another shot of the poorly made ABS plastic nut
Jack's Instrument Services: Bad screen printing on the false signature again!
Jack's Instrument Services: Special wonky routed tremolo cavity... the back also features a mahogany veneer to hide the slab construction of the body
Jack's Instrument Services: Here's the text on the rear of the headstock. According to the PRS distributor I phoned the serial is from a real guitar previously made but definitely not this one. The "11" at the start dictates made in 2011 but then the text goes on to say made in 2009
Jack's Instrument Services: Very poorly cut nut! The string slots are cut at the wrong angle big time. It's also very poorly seated with about 1mm gap from the timber at the back!
Jack's Instrument Services: Chinese made PRS private stock copy on closer inspection. Badly screen printed bird design
Jack's Instrument Services: FAKE PRS "Private stock" just been booked in!
