Reinforcement is the answer. I'm about to rout 2 channels out of the neck, I will then glue in some solid oak bars to patch over the weak neck join. - Jack's Instrument Services

Heres the neck and headstock re-attached as best I can. I spent hours chiselling and picking old glue out of the surfaces to be glued. This was never going to be the strongest join in the world. That's why I have "step 2"

Here's an old Japanese Kasuga dreadnaught. It's unfortunately had it's headstock broken clean off, fixed (with "gorilla" glue), badly painted, broken again and then booked in with me. This is a tough repair indeed! - Jack's Instrument Services
