Ya, there was so much moisture underneath this horribly done stucco siding that there are serious rot and signs of Bermuda grass growing up the side of the house... Glad we are replacing this terrible siding now. #diysiding #davisprojects #homeimprovement

Got grass? We found about 3-4 ft long of Bermuda grass stolons climbing behind siding and even into the insulation. The will to grow is amazing. But the backyard clearly used to be grass before they put i the pool. #rottingsiding #homeimprovements #davisp

After a lunch break add some 2x4 blocking to increase wall support and added sheathing nail surface and insulation and sheathing on this section.

Davis house turns a bunch of stupid into serious over building, but we did buy the house to keep for a very long time. But the difference from under insulated and bad water trapping add on siding to insanely insulated and sealed is our goal.

We big walls eave boxed in, more insulation in on second wall and more OSB up, bunch of 2x4 blocking for the low eaves in, tyvex taped, trim and flashing on bedroom door on, tomorrow is foam board and start vinyl siding.

Now that some key wiring work is done we did get back to some visual progress but will have to bust ass tomorrow.

Got it all insulated and new half inch sheathing on. We still have daylight so a little bit of taping then house wrap, then soffit boxing in, then foam board, then siding. Though siding might not get done today.
