heather.rosner: Gigi's husband Joe found us the parts we need! Their neighbor did a diagnostic for the problem and we drove 40mph to San Diego.
heather.rosner: Woke up at 7am at our hotel in Ocean Beach and drove to Autozone for the part. Drove back to hotel, checked out and took the car to a mechanic.

heather.rosner: Mechanic added oil and told us the issue was fixed. Returned the part to Autozone. Shopped for groceries at Gross Out and got on the road. Lost power again. Drove back to mechanic, went back to Autozone for the part, and he finally fixed it after an entir

heather.rosner: Decided it was not a good idea to drive down a dirt road, in the desert, in another country, at night without a phone signal. I was dead set to keep going but this was probably the most reasonable decision of the trip. I set a 5:45am alarm to get back on

heather.rosner: It was not a great idea to do this trip without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We were the only people out there without proper clearance. Volume up to hear these big fucking rocks scrape the under carriage.
