gttexas: It's Monday and we're back on Caroline's bus headed to the Kenai Princess Lodge. We'll make a lunch stop in Palmer on the way.
gttexas: We had a rest stop at the Matanuska Glacier State Recreation Site. There are some impressive views from here, and several educational signs relating to glaciers. This informational sign explains the making of Moraines.

gttexas: We saw abundant evidence of the work of the Spruce Bark Beetle beginning at the Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge.

gttexas: We stopped in Palmer for lunch. Our meeting point was the Palmer visitor center and garden. Here is the side wall of the visitor center with and unknown flower. Some of the largest, healthiest, and most unusual flowers and vegetables I've seen.

gttexas: In Palmer we elected to eat at "Vagabond Blues" where I was amused to see a rationing sign for hand sanitizer.
gttexas: On the road again! We're just coming into Anchorage on the Glenn highway.
gttexas: We're just outside of Anchorage, not far from Whittier, and headed for the Kenai Princess Lodge.
