We found a good, quiet spot to read out on the stern deck. Just inside was usually pretty good also. The ship is about half-way between Vancouver and Ketchikan.

At Skagway there had been a landslide just beside the pier near the cliff with all the ship's grafitti on it. As a result tenders were used to transport passengers from the ship into town. The wind was blowing like crazy and we elected to stay aboard.

For years we've seen the cliff next to the pier and its grafitti from a multitude of ships.

From the ship's top deck you can see the town of Skagway and the ship's tender (orange near the center of the picture) used to take passengers into town.

Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas and a Holland America line ship were also in port.

Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas and a Holland America line ship were also in port. Having been to Skagway twice before and considering the weather, we decided to just stay onboard and have a relaxing day of reading.

Rather than brave the weather, We found a quiet, secluded spot up on the 15th deck and settled in to read.
