Miltoniopsis phalaenopsis lip, dark variety with very good shape. I don't like to use flash and almost never do, but I tried to see... Too much light reverberation for me, in this case showing how glistening can be this species, that allows more sharpness

Scaphosepalum decorum, a darker variety compared to my other plant. One of my preferred specie in this genus, with a 5 cm big flowers. Again a colombian endemic (among more than 1500 species), from Cauca and Nariño departments in temperate-fresh climate

It is known that sloth eat leaves from trees but also, as shown here, tree cork (Melastomataceae family) that could bring them some nutrients or maybe medicinal protection (detoxification ?)... Hoffmann's two-toed Sloth (Choloepus hoffmannii). Colombia.
