The last ARC two stroke S39 26 ton.JHX 121K late 1971,Windmill lane ,Cheshunt ,Herts.All the drivers were mates of my brother ,and later me,we used to run with them ,up and down the A10 to London .

Another S39 two stroke ,225 bhp engine ,12 speed box ,JHX 120K. This was nearly new late 1971,the old St .Ives pit Cheshunt ,Herts .now ARC,the ARC fleet was mostly Gardner powered,so I wondered if these were a cancelled order .

This was rare at the time GGC 761J 26 ton ,Foden S39 ,two stroke engine 12 speed box ,it had the 225 Bhp engine ,,I took this in 1971,the old St.Ives pit Windmill lane Cheshunt ,Herts.Now taken over by ARC , the ARC Foden fleet was nearly all Gardner.

I took this in 1971 ,ARC gravel pit ,Cheshunt ,Herts- the old St Ives sand and gravel half cab Foden ,St Ives second livery ,I think they had a connection with GREENWOODS .
