This is a plaque , that is affixed to the granite stone, West park, Macclesfield, Cheshire

This is a 30 ton, granite boulder, it was placed in West park, Macclesfield,when the park opened in 1857, it is known as a roving stone, it was found during excavations in nearby Oxford road, a brass plaque is fixed to the boulder, still there today
