Street lamp illumination only, ISO 3200
gordonwatts:
The standard size sweep pannorama
gordonwatts:
Dynamic range seems quite good!
gordonwatts:
Details (cropped image)
gordonwatts:
Is the grass too green?
gordonwatts:
"Auto Adjust" applied to image - enough dynamic range to bring out detail in the birds which were almost totally black initally
gordonwatts:
Auto-exposure had some trouble with the haze...
gordonwatts:
Sitched together (using ICE) the I5 bridge... there is no special exposure lock that I was using, just a uniform day.
gordonwatts:
Busy night show - it guessed the exposure quite well

DSC00119
gordonwatts:
This is an auto shot - I did notthing special to take this - I am very impressed (all lights are LED, btw, could that be part of it?)
gordonwatts:
White balence even works
gordonwatts:
Surrounded by all those bright lights, it still basically got the exposure right - and still kept the speed up so there isn't much blurring (look at the lights to see how much)
gordonwatts:
This was the middle sequence in a rapid-fire multiple exposure (about 10 full rez frames per second for 1 second, then slows down after that)
gordonwatts:
Finally switched it to exposure priority mode - 0.8 seconds
gordonwatts:
I love this picture other than the 'mo isn't looking at me - this is 1/8 second, camera following the horse as it went by... so close to greatness, but it shows what this camera can do in the hands of someone else (who knows what they are doing!)
gordonwatts:
Shot indoors (even the boat still has detail!), with the rapid fire shutter, telephoto fully extended (the 18-55mm lens that comes with it)... still enough light to capture this. Camera picked ISO 1600 for this shot (I had it on auto mode)
gordonwatts:
My Canon G10 (a very nice camera) would have totally over exposed this - I would have to stop it down 1 EV or so... the lights do not overwhelm everything here! Wow on the exposure determination algorithms!
gordonwatts:
Finally something it can't do - the candel is totally washed out. :-)

Interior of the restaurant. Really captures the mood. (the blue @ the front is due to an exterior neon sign)... if anything the real place was darker than this. For this I siwtched to panorama mode and forced the ISO to be only 400.
