The fabulous pool at Chaa Creek made a nice counterpoint to the rustic accommodations at the Macal River Camp.

Another shot of the fabulous pool at Chaa Creek. The sad part is that they decided to build it after they government built a dam on the Macal River which made the river suspect to swim in.

Headed up the Macal River, against the current. When I paddled the river in 1994, it was crystal clear, but now it is muddy because of recent rains and the dam.
