UnconventionalEmma: Didcot town centre planters
UnconventionalEmma: Getting ready to start Incredible Edible Didcot's first planting project, outside Cornerstones.
UnconventionalEmma: Herbs donated by Sainsbury's.
UnconventionalEmma: The soil preparation phase is hard work. The existing soil is rock hard, but we brought peat-free compost to make it nicer.
UnconventionalEmma: Tibor, a professional gardener from Hungary, planted the first finished bed with lavender, thyme, bay and strawberries.
UnconventionalEmma: An aerial view of the new planting in the first tier.
UnconventionalEmma: Fixing the all-important (and lovely!) signs in place.
UnconventionalEmma: The shadier end of tier 1 now has chives, garlic chives, and various mints - inc. Apple mint and chocolate mint. Plants were donated.

UnconventionalEmma: Hoping that clumps of chives and rampaging mints will happily coexist in the shady bed :)
UnconventionalEmma: Lemon balm, parsley and marjoram have taken over the right side of tier 1
UnconventionalEmma: The middle of tier 1 now has lavender, thyme, bay and strawberries.
UnconventionalEmma: The end of tier 2 has been given to the sage. Hope it grows big!
UnconventionalEmma: In tier 2 we left some existing Rosemary and added a strawberry and two thymes.
UnconventionalEmma: This one took some work - the shrubs were entrenched! But it's now English mace, bay and a little rosemary and lavender.
UnconventionalEmma: The final touch :)
UnconventionalEmma: This one we haven't tackled yet! But the bees love the lavender and rosemary.
UnconventionalEmma: The bay tree at the end of tier 1 has some parsley pals.
