Tarek* is a 12-year-old child refugee from Syria. He fled with his parents and six siblings to Lebanon back in 2013.

To support his father secure the daily bread for the family, Tarek had to do street vending, wandering around the Mt. Lebanon village to sell clothes.

Tarek feel tired sometimes, especially when he has to drag his bag up the stairs.

Each morning, Tarek fills his heavy duffle bag with all sorts of linens, socks and pyjamas and sets off to work. He works everyday and stays longer hours in the weekend.

Tarek joins his friends in the school, where he attends Save the Children’s Non-Formal Education after work.
everyonestc:
At Save the Children’s classes, Tarek learns English, Arabic, Maths and Science. He likes to go to school and maths is his favourite subject because it helps him in his work.

Tarek finishes school and usually spends his night doing his homework, before heading to work in the next morning.
