We hiked to the very top of a hill near Ely's Peak.

The view was amazing. We all took pictures.

The girls discovered milkweed pods; they broke them open and enjoyed scattering the seeds in the breeze.

Much excitement ensued. When we drove away it looked like it had been snowing, and I found those seeds in my car for months afterwards!

On our way off the hill we saw a partridge or grouse.
