Trombidiidae,Red Velvet Mite,we do not see these often so I thought you might like to see one too,they live in the litter along with hundreds of tiny creatures!

Very tiny bug on lake edge,about 4mm long,it just looked like a little grey speck but the camera brings it to life!

Mystery larva,Phasmid ootheca?,no this is a catipiller like object walking around the tree looking under bark seemingly looking for somewhere to hide,maybe,I went back a little later for another look but it had gone,maybe a bird got it!
