We learned on this Springsteen Scandinavian Sommarfest that Bruce Springsteen is a national hero in Norway.

The Bergenhus in the city's medieval fortress, where an old-fashioned barn-stormin' hootenanny would show you exactly what the future of rock & roll SHOULD be.
Desiree Koh:
The Bergen crowd on Second Night To Rock were a bit stiffened by the rain, although by no means stifled.
Desiree Koh:
The smartest fans booked rooms in the hotel next to the Bergenhus, and got the best seats in the house.
Desiree Koh:
We were farther back for this show - came a little too late - and were in the rain and cold for most of it, which didn't dampen the spirit in the night.

Page one boy on all the local papers the next morning.

Third Night To Rock back at the Bergenhus. Bruce Springsteen: "Hey, those guys didn't pay!"

But took a sign request from the window clingers anyway with "Seven Nights To Rock"!

Fourth Night To Rock at Ullevi in Gothenburg - in 1985, they had to repair the stadium after the E Street Band show.
