Desiree Koh: Fried tuna cheeks. Cheeks. So trendy in culinary arts right now.
Desiree Koh: So, like, that and the Vegetable Special was so not enough. So it was off to Claudia Pizzeria for this proscuitto pie, which I had very high expectations for, as they had the brick oven and I saw some nice bubbling happening on the crust. Alas - the crust
Desiree Koh: A little place off Shimbashi station, turned out to be pretty good local bar food. Here's a stew of pork parts.
Desiree Koh: Mochi pizza intrigued me! And I liked it a lot, although I thought it was too salty with the sauce. The crust is made from rice cracker, which actually brought it pretty close to the texture of Neapolitan thin crust, if perhaps just a smidge less savory.
Desiree Koh: Natto - fermented soy beans, deep fried. I can't bear this.
Desiree Koh: A crazy bucket of sashimi. Crab legs, various types of fish, and a mackerel's head. Insanity.
