Desiree Koh: September 16, 2010. Flight to Paris. Three hours for everyone to get in. Train to Brussels. Ten-minute delay. Train to Bruges. Forty-five minutes for a cab - they were on strike. Finally, at Livia's Bridge House, the second oldest in Bruges at more than 7
Desiree Koh: And ginger cookies, which fueled my run the next morning!
Desiree Koh: Diligence Restaurant, a cozy corner nook, was where we had a typical Belgian dinner of steak and frites. Ya know, the kind of place where Anita serves and her husband works the kitchen, and the Greek sous chef is married to the husband's ex-wife. Also, yo

Desiree Koh: Sauce pumps. They might be better than fist pumps.
Desiree Koh: Voila! With warm green peppercorn sauce.
Desiree Koh: This had my heart palpitating. I am madly in love with Belgian waffles - the first of the trip was all about dark chocolate sauce.
