Desiree Koh: Outside Circuit Park -- loose ends where parts of the track simply can't be cordoned off to the non-ticketed public -- people pack by the grill to watch the race.
Desiree Koh: Peering down the track just before the start of Day One's first practice session.
Desiree Koh: Some weirdo.
Desiree Koh: I won't be able to identify any of the cars or drivers, and I'm not sure it's possible at 290kmh.
Desiree Koh: Once you get into Circuit Park, you're free to roam the grounds and watch the race at eye level in free standing areas.
Desiree Koh: Track marshals.
Desiree Koh: The cars come every minute or so.
Desiree Koh: From my seat in the Marina Grandstand, overlooking turn 16.
Desiree Koh: Vroom vroom!
Desiree Koh: There were also large TV screens so you can see what's happening to other cars on other parts of the track.
Desiree Koh: The Singapore skyline.
Desiree Koh: Track marshals taking a quick break.
Desiree Koh: Back on the job.
Desiree Koh: If you peered through the openings, you could watch snippets of the race uninterrupted by square metal grills.
Desiree Koh: Sometimes the cars go so fast, I don't hardly snap in time.
Desiree Koh: We were allowed to linger in front of one of these openings to take a few shots before moving on.
Desiree Koh: Lit durian.
Desiree Koh: I moved around because I got bored just sticking around in my grandstand seat.
Desiree Koh: It was also deafening.
Desiree Koh: The Batmobile is faster than this, I bet.
Desiree Koh: I wish I had headphones like this dude.
Desiree Koh: Turn 15.
