Desiree Koh: Brewerkz works.
Desiree Koh: Dough or die.
Desiree Koh: Hot! Hot! Hot!
Desiree Koh: Apple crumble, a la moded.
Desiree Koh: Brownie, a la moded.
Desiree Koh: Ice Cold Beer is pretty damned cool.
Desiree Koh: Little Creatures, big taste.
Desiree Koh: Wings take flight.
Desiree Koh: Hot diggity dawg!
Desiree Koh: Proving that White Castle is quite unnecessary.
Desiree Koh: Almost made me cry.
Desiree Koh: We did our last Beer Night at Brauhaus, which is supposed to have the largest beer list in Singapore and feature more beer from around the world than any other bar in Asia. The menu did a good job of keeping up with the beer list's far-flung aspirations.
Desiree Koh: That's a good-looking pork shoulder and from what I hear, a pretty good-tasting one as well.
Desiree Koh: Now, on to the beer. I began with Egypt's Pharoaen beer, which is what a framboise would taste like if it took a swim in the Nile. Crisp, refreshing, citrusy and very delicious.
Desiree Koh: Suan went rasta in Jamiaca. Ever seen Red Stripe in a long bottle? Whatever, it's still good, mon! I'd never seen it served with a wedge of lime before either.
Desiree Koh: I decided to stay in the Middle East, so my next selection was Taybeh from the Palestine (that is, if you believe it exists). It was a little bit Arafat -- salty, cold and had a little kick.
Desiree Koh: If drinking beer helps promote peace, then I'm doing pretty well.
Desiree Koh: Then I travelled to Turkey for the Efes pilsener, which was nutty and brooding. There was no genie in a bottle.
Desiree Koh: Because I had run out of Middle Eastern countries, I travelled across the Adriatic Sea and found myself in Russia, where I ordered the Baltic 8. It wasn't spectacular, I would assume it was the local MGD, except that nothing is quite as bad American domes
Desiree Koh: As you can see, the beer buddies also travelled to countries such as Belgium, France, Korea, South Africa, Poland...
Desiree Koh: This shot almost made it into the obituary pages, as the lady at the classifieds initially picked this one from my SD card (accidentally) and placed it into the proof page...
Desiree Koh: We filled up a crate of empty bottles.
Desiree Koh: We decided to make our pub quiz debut at Turnstyles, a nice nook in Holland Village with good hosts and a better beer selection.
Desiree Koh: We placed 7th out of 12 teams in our debut.
Desiree Koh: The Black Pepper Beef team.
Desiree Koh: Cheering for ourselves.
Desiree Koh: Ben and Suyo trying to listen to a question.
