it's spring break at USF so sarah and i piled in the car and drove down from san francisco to palo alto to enjoy some family, fresh flowers, and fresh fruit.

today i welcomed and made comfortable three dozen heirloom tomato starters we're plant-sitting for friend and USF colleague tracy, who is leaving the city for spring break.

i took the 33 bus from the mission to the NE tip of golden gate park, walked the length of the park to the pacific ocean, caught the muni train from the beach to lower haight, and walked back home to the mission.
