Cartoon, free for reuse on cartoonchurch.com. Hope everyone is OK out there. My aim this week has been to produce some resources for churches / clergy, as it seemed like the most useful thing I could be doing. Ideas / requests - please send them my way.
Dave_Walker:
I’ve drawn a new version of ‘Where the church is’ to fit the circumstances in which we find ourselves. Fewer people on the streets, etc. This image is free to reprint or post if it might be useful to you in any way - see my cartoonchurch.com site for deta

Playing with shards of glass. This will go into a kiln at 800° C overnight. I’ll let you know what happens...

If you like my church-related cartoons I’m now posting them at @cartoonchurch. There will still be the odd one here, but a lot more will be there. I’ve been busy updating the website and uploading a lot of new artwork, so if you know anyone who puts toget

At @churchtimes in London today, to mark Paul Handley’s 25 years as editor. Paul gave me the opportunity to draw for the paper 15 years ago, and if he hadn’t who knows what I’d be doing now.
Dave_Walker:
I’m currently posting new material on my cartoonchurch.com website - here’s a sample, there will be lots more posted there over the next week. I’ve recently revamped the site so that the images are bigger, you can swipe between cartoons on a page, a thumb

Keen observers of my social media pages may have noticed that I’ve been riding my bicycle quite a bit so far in 2020. This hasn’t been any kind of a grandiose cycling challenge you understand, but it turns out I have ridden my bike every day. Not far, usu

Day 30. Night ride, with a dose of Brexit sadness.

Day 28. Extreme filtering to make a bicycle in the park look more interesting than it is.

Day 27. The houses in the distance were hidden behind a shopping centre until it was demolished a month or two ago. The new Laindon Centre promises much, including (according to the picture on this hoarding) somewhere to ride bikes off into the sunset. W

Day 26. The Plotlands. In the 1930s families from the east end of London bought plots of land in Langdon Hills for holiday homes, many catching the train here every weekend, others moving in permanently. ‘The Haven’, now the Plotlands museum, is the last

Calendars. It turns out I hold on to more copies of most of these than are strictly necessary for archiving purposes. As for the missing ones: 2013 doesn’t exist, and I have probably got copies of 2017 and 2018 somewhere in my ‘filing system’. 2020 is of

Day 20. It is becoming increasingly difficult to take an interesting photo when the day’s cycle ride is a one-mile-each-way trip to Tesco. But anyway, here we are - today it’s shoes / bananas.

Day 16. I’ve always liked the frame geometry of these cycling signs in Laindon, now rather worn. Who knows, perhaps a bicycle shaped like this would be fine.
Dave_Walker:
Today was day 14 of riding a bike without embarking on a cycling challenge. 72 calories-worth of riding to the shops. A better day in that I managed to actually draw something.

Day 13. Red bike. Basketball court returning to nature.

Day 12. Been riding, but today’s photo is a bike I listed for sale today. Lovely touring bike, but just a bit too small for me. (Search 2016 Dawes Galaxy on eBay UK)

Day 11. Preparing for takeoff

Day 7. Red bike. Some meagre stats to inspire you: Time to find a back light + read instructions on back light + charge back light + fit back light: about an hour. Riding time: 12 minutes, including photo stop.

Day 6. Another 2 mile ride in the dark. Bicycle sign near the ‘Orse. This continues not to be a challenge.

Going back to work - things to remember.
