Prohibition ends after 13 years on Dec. 5, 1933. 31 years later, Congress declares bourbon 'America's official distilled Spirit, enacting regulations to define bourbon whiskey, in 1964.

Aged six full years in new 53-gallon toasted and charred oak barrels, meticulously crafted individually by a Master Cooper. There are no shortcuts taken in the authentic pre-prohibition sour mash bill either. Just sayin’.

The casks were hauled aboard a classic full-rigged barque and allowed to repose for another nine months afloat, after fully maturing on land, in new charred American white oak casks for nine years. Bourbon and cask danced to the barometric fluctuations.

Pioneers in 1781 era Kentucky County, territory west of the Appalachian mountains in Virginia Commonwealth, were granted “corn writs,” 60 acres to settle and plant corn. Excess corn was milled, mashed, and distilled into raw whiskey to prevent spoilage.
