cpearl: This is an outdoor museum where they brought buildings from all over Norway, from 1500s on. This farmhouse is from around 1650

cpearl: At the Fram museum, they had two large ships from Arctic explorations. This is the Gjøa, the ship that first made the Northwest Passage.

cpearl: One of the main points of the museum is that Amundsen, who was 1st through the NW passage. spent a lot of time with the Iniut on Greenland learning how to survive.

cpearl: This is the Fram, a wooden ship designed to get stuck in the Arctic Ice. It drifted for 3 years. The exhibit had these cool screens to make it seem like you were sailing.
