The B Teams: Equitable- The Equitable Building's shadow takes up seven hectors. It was the reason for the institution of the set back law where buildings must be built with a larger base and get smaller as they rise.
The B Teams: Hamilton- 57 Wall Street is a monumentous building with solid colums on the bottom portion. It is the Merchants Exchange building and it was later added on to by it's current owner, Citi Group.
The B Teams: Trinity Church- Built in 1840s, it is the oldest church in the country and the one standing here is the thrid one on this site after fires during the Revolutionary war. Owning 22 buildings in New York, Trinity is of the three biggest land owners in NY.
The B Teams: Trump- At 40 Wall Street, there are finance offices built in 1929. This building (now owned by Donald Trump) was the tallest building for a day until the Crystler building was done putting up the pin on it's roof.
The B Teams: Wall- Wall Street gets it's name from the fact that it took the place of a wall that the Dutch settlers in New York set up to keep British invaders out and to protect the colony.
The B Teams: Integrity- The New York stock exchange building takes up an entire city block. The oldest part was built in 1903. The main figure on the building is Integrity and it stands right above the floor where most of the stock trading is done.
The B Teams: Damaged- In1920, the first ever car bomb killed 30 people and injured 200 others. The damage was left alone on the building on Wall Street.
The B Teams: Wash- Built in 1842, this building was the site of George Washington's inauguration. The building was rebuilt several times but began to serve as a customs house until people found it to be too small.
The B Teams: Narrow-Narrow Streets surrounding Wall Street show buildings that were built pre-set back law. The streets recieve little to no light.
The B Teams: Customs- The United States Customs House is decorated in classic stone architecture. It was designed by Cass Gilbert and was built in 1902 for five years.
