Xavi's first drum circle. We went to a drums of the world program led by Marcus Miller (music director of Lula Washington Dance Company) at the library. Xavi now knows the difference between a membranophone and idiophone.

It was cold (low 60s - still speaking like a California girl here) and rainy so we took to the mall.

Finally in Ithaca but still not in our new apartment. Staying at a friend of a friend's Airbnb studio for a few days. Plus is that it's adjacent to campus. And I got what I need, these two guys.

Xavi's been a good sport about our recent nomadic life. Now we can stay in one place as we finally moved in to our apartment.

Earlier today I met a pre-freshman young woman from California. She had just received a care package with Trader Joe's goodies from her family. We bonded over missing TJs snacks and CA. A short while later I got home to find this from former co-workers. N

I'm a sucker. I paid $7 for queso fresco that doesn't even taste like queso fresco. The Mexican food struggle in Ithaca is real. 😭😂😭
