Claudine: Weight, excluding water and including trekking poles and shared items = 24lbs! 4 lbs lighter than my starting weight for Rae Lakes! No bear can and lightweight upgraded Thermarest, plus shaved ounces off here and there, makes for happy lighter backpack!
Claudine: No bear cans needed! So we have ZPacks food bags, which we'll hang. Hoping they hold up against rodents! Also, food is in another odor-proof bag inside. My bag weighs 5.5 lbs; Danny's is ~ 7 lbs.
