BJL_Hen: Okay now I woke up Saturday to find my glasses had broken...no idea why the lens had just split.

BJL_Hen: So after kung fu, I went straight to the shop where I got my glasses and ordered a new pair. Outside was a huge gathering of women in bridal gowns.

BJL_Hen: Some sort of show...a knock off of a popular US show. One of the lucky girls would be bride for a day for a flavor of the week idol in Taiwan.

BJL_Hen: And so when I left the shop and crossed the street the march had just started, so I whipped out my camera and started shooting.
©
BJL_Hen: There were several other slingers there too trying to get shots.
©
BJL_Hen: Anyway I just found it a little interesting so thought I'd share the shots.

BJL_Hen: Sneakers and wedding dress...well I can't blame them for wanting to be comforatble...
©
BJL_Hen: They had a 1km walk from the point of origin to their destination
©
BJL_Hen: The other slingers had some heavy duty equipment...
©
BJL_Hen: I find it funny that I was sweaty, dirty (and quite likely smelly), and my clothes looked like hell...
©
BJL_Hen: Yet the girls were still smiling and waving when I was shooting (well some were)...
©
BJL_Hen: I will never understand the power a camera gives someone...

BJL_Hen: All of the ladies appeared really happy.
©
BJL_Hen: One of them even handed me a rose as she was walking by...
©
BJL_Hen: I don't know if they had to provide their own dresses...
©
BJL_Hen: I've been on a few shows here...
©
BJL_Hen: And had to do some odd things while on the shows...
©
BJL_Hen: But then it's all in fun I guess...
©
BJL_Hen: I think the timing of this march is actually appropriate...
©
BJL_Hen: My cousin will be getting married in a week...
©
BJL_Hen: And I'll fly back for her wedding...
©
BJL_Hen: And my Godsister will be married in September.
©
BJL_Hen: At first I thought that maybe there was going to be a mass ceremony
©
BJL_Hen: But I never saw any of the grooms.
©
BJL_Hen: Anyway, all the ladies looked wonderful...
©
BJL_Hen: And it appeared as if all had a great day.
©
BJL_Hen: Even if the weather was hot and humid
©
BJL_Hen: And some of the girls wore sneakers or jeans under their dress
©
BJL_Hen: I still enjoyed shooting the Bridal March

BJL_Hen: Man it's really tough trying...
