The crowds were thick. Usually walking down to 101 takes about 15 minutes from my house. Here were some palm trees that were lighted. I snapped them while on our way.

They cycled through all the colours 101 can display, while everyone waited to watch the show.
BJL_Hen:
The number of people out there with cameras was insane. People had really heavy duty equipment to camera phone's pointed at 101.
BJL_Hen:
After shutting all the lights off, they turned them all on. I never really noticed before, but 101 has 10 sections.
BJL_Hen:
To give people a chance to get their photos, they shut each section down from the 10 count. Here we are 5 seconds from midnight of December 31, 2005.
BJL_Hen:
And here we go. All I did was shoot, shoot, and shoot some more. Only a few are decent, but I thought I'd keep them all together. New Year's Eve 2005 at Taipei 101 01
