BJL_Hen: I showed up at Betty's engagement party on time...and almost no one was there...
BJL_Hen: Betty and her husband. I use to work with Betty at Syscom.
BJL_Hen: Being so early I had to find ways of amusing myself...like taking my own picture...
BJL_Hen: Here we are an hour after everything was supposed to start, and everyone is here. In Taiwan nobody shows up to the party on time. Being an hour late is considered "being on time".
BJL_Hen: Amy and her son dig in.
BJL_Hen: Ding Ding flashing his sly smile.
BJL_Hen: Shirley was there too.
BJL_Hen: Betty and her new husband toast us. In Taiwan a couple moves from table to table and each table offers their congratulations to the couple. Traditionally their glass should be filled with whiskey...most people use tea now...
BJL_Hen: And I get one last shot of Betty before we leave.
