3 lbs. carrots, peeled

1/2 stick butter

3 lb. chuck roast

Chop carrots into coins, 1 can tomato paste, 2 c. red wine, 3 c. chicken broth

Melt the butter, brown the beef on med. high heat

Brown all the sides, including sticking it on its end
