Tina arrived at Belfast Zoo on 14 June 1966. She is pictured with Billy Carlisle at 19 months old.

For the first few years at Belfast Zoo, Tina had a daily walk with her keepers (Billy Carlisle) until she became too large.

Over the past 30 years in the zoo, there have been many changes but there was always one constant and that was Tina the elephant. She sadly died on Sunday 5 November 2017.

Everyone deserves some special treatment on their birthday and Tina was no exception. The Lord Mayor pampered Tina with a special birthday breakfast, of cupcakes!

On Saturday 5 July 2014 we celebrated Tina's 'ELEPHANTASTIC' 50th birthday party.

She was Belfast Zoo's longest resident and celebrated her 50th birthday in 2014 with Lord Mayor at the time.
