Ex-GWR Collett heavy goods 2-8-0 no. 3862 stands forlorn and rusting at the head of a line of condemned steam locomotives at Woodhams Bros scrapyard on Barry Island on 3rd March 1968. This locomotive was subsequently acquired for preservation.

EX-GWR Collett Large Prairie Tank no. 4110 along with classmate 4156 and Ex-GWR Collett 0-6-0PT no. 9681 are seen rusting away in Woodhams Bros scrapyard on Barry Island, South Wales, on 3rd March 1968. 4110 and 9681 were saved and restored.
