ArmchairDeity: Katara rawks, and it was really hard to get a decent picture in the dark with my iPhone, so I put this one up too, even though the previous one pretty much sums it up.
ArmchairDeity: The projector is currently suspended from a speaker mount. Within the next couple paydays I'm going to get a real ceiling mount, though. It's a case of "spend $100 to protect a $2500 investment" so it really can't wait too long.
ArmchairDeity: The tools are there because I'm still working on all of this... more on that in the next picture. This illustrates the layout of the room and the size of the screen relative to an 11' wide wall. Also, note the proximity of the projector to the screen... 1
ArmchairDeity: This one illustrates the depth of the room... I was standing about 2' in front of the screen when I took it, and the room is just over 25' deep... so my theater is, oh, say 30'x11', my surround sound and stereo fields fill the entire area, and the screen
ArmchairDeity: For scale, note the 80# German Shepherd that fell asleep on the front center speaker. Ain't she cute? The picture is around 5-6 feet wide for standard def and close to 8 feet wide for HD.Oh, and Avatar ROCKS!!!!
