Shattered Plate Under Spool Pin / Because there was no padding or packing inside the case, the machine got lodged in the top of the case when the box got turned upside down in shipment. The pin then broke and shattered.

Spool pin bent from being lodged in lid of case. It's one little screw that needs to be undone - that's it. Just unscrew it, wrap the spool pin and replace the screw in the original hole so it doesn't get lost.
