Happily exhausted after a lovely day catching up with two sets of dear friends: visiting the NGV (National Gallery of Victoria), chatting in warm sunshine (before the rain and cold descended), churros, polar bears covered in feathers, crayons, sculptures

One thing I miss about Australia - swings. Very few playgrounds in Hong Kong have swings. I've no idea why when they are so much fun. (And go wee girl, who took this great photo of me having fun today).

We are in chilly Melbourne. Today I caught up with one of my dearest friends, our kids had a great play together. Yummy mocha (with grated chocolate - heck yeah!) and belated birthday and Christmas presents. My friend cross stitched me this beautiful rain

The 1,600 panda exhibition in HK, so very cute. It is a serious issue though, there are currently only 1,600 pandas left on our planet.

Oh my, the Centre Pompidou is amazing. This "Cold Wind Sphere" installation by Olafur Eliasson was one of my favourites. I'd love to spend more time at the Pompidou with no nagging kids - we only saw a small selection of their amazing collection of modern

Today we climbed the 669 steps up to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. It really is such a beautiful monument.

Lots of military planes were flying low over Paris and our apartment today. The noise was amazing. We were all in awe. #paris

The gargoyle and the Eiffel Tower (view from the tower of Notre Dame), definitely worth climbing up 422 steps for the amazing view.

Today, Sacré Cœur. I checked out the nearby fabric shops - there were quite a few. One had 5 floors of fabric. Another had a huge Liberty section, I was drooling.
