Tried on Ally's new red halter. Did groundwork getting her used to the spray from the garden hose nozzle. Later, I was able to get her to place her feet on a big tree stump with no fuss. This girl is smart!

Saddled & bridled, I spent some time on soft feel during lateral and vertical flexion. She was really reaching for me. Concentrated on our rectangle too. She did a little ping ponging, but she was able to find center. Overall, I'm pretty happy.

We visited Larry the llama for a little while. Then I took Ally down to the post office for the first time. She was very calm. I couldn't be anymore pleased. Saddled & bridled I practiced with Ally on picking me up and sidepassing.

Rode bridled and bareback in the pasture from 15:30 to 16:00. We enjoyed the setting sun and its warmth. 😊 Finished with a little bodywork at 16:10.

Ally: 5 mins GW and 30 mins riding until 19:40pm at Robin's. Got some wonderful hind drifts, lateral and vertical flexion. Our rectangle is getting smaller. Trailered home at 8:06pm and unloaded at 20:47.

Had fun "getting to Ally's feet" by asking her to place her feet up on a big log. Afterwards, I spent more time teaching her how to pick me up. Then we went for a ride at home saddled and bridled.

Started at 18:30 (during the Seahawks game). Worked on confidence with the plastic tarp first from the ground and then the saddle. Third ride of the day.

Ride 19 - Short session due to my injured leg. Practiced mounting and dismounting on the offside since the left side wasn't possible. Had to wear sneakers since it was too painful to pull on my boots.

Loaded Ally in the trailer and went to the feed store for some horse food. Got home at 4:30pm and she was stomping up a storm. I'm let her sit until she was quiet.

Arrived at Robin's at 19:05. Took Ally out of the trailer when she was finally quiet at 19:55 & saddled her. Jessica took ahold of her at 20:30. 25 mins trailer ride home from Robin's house & a quick bareback

Worked on despooking with the blue plastic tarp and even got her to step 2 feet into the front entrance of the house. Mounted while saddle & bridled and practiced reaching out with FQs, stopping, and backing with a soft feel.

Another session with the scary blue tarp. Today she was evasive when I went to catch her. I had to trek around the pasture a little. Saddled, bridled & mounted on offside & mainly worked on backing & vertical & lateral flexion with a soft feel.

Started with Ally at 5 PM. Used an umbrella this time to see if Ally would be afraid of it. She had some concern but not as much as I thought she would. Introduced the umbrella from the ground first & then in the saddle.

Practiced a lot with getting Ally comfortable with the lariat. Roped her midsection today for the first time ever. She's less troubled than I'd thought she'd be. Mounted in offside from 1/2 cut barrel. Tossed the rope a few times
