SewLibra:
This pattern I made by tracing a RTW tank and have made two others. But since I like a wider binding, I trimmed down the armscyes 3/8 in. I will make this change on my pattern, maybe a little more to 1/2 in.

I made a super thick pad and cover for my ironing board. I pin into all the time, here to keep the binding in place. It's folded in half.
SewLibra:
I like to make extra binding strips. Glad I did this time because my first neck binding was too small and there were puckers. I baste the band in, check it, then serge if all is well. If it's not ok, the basting is easy to remove.
SewLibra:
After the binding is in, I press it from the outside, then the inside, put a drop of Fray Check on the serged intersection even though I pull the thread through, and let it dry before topstitching.
SewLibra:
Using an edge foot to topstitch under the binding. It keeps the serged inside seam down.

It looks like there is a fold below my right shoulder, but it's just this crazy print. It really does lie flat.
