SewLibra: Jalie Hoodie 2795
SewLibra: Jalie has outward notches. I mark them to the inside and cut them off. This pattern had all black sizing lines instead of colors so I had to use a highlighter pen.
SewLibra: Watch for these two pieces. You need to cut 4 each.
SewLibra: All seams were serged, pressed, and the clapper used before topstitiching.
SewLibra: Topstitching with the stitch in the ditch foot. I use this foot for so many projects. Love it!
SewLibra: I used the stitch in the ditch foot, behind, for topstitching all those seams. The blade is much longer than the edge joining foot shown in front.
SewLibra: I used my rotary cutter and slidelock tool to cut the tricot stretch interfacing to stabilize the zipper. I used the rotary cutter for all fabric pieces too.
SewLibra: Fuse the one half inch tricot strip right at the edge where the zip will be sewn.
SewLibra: Serging the tricot interfacing after fusing it on the edge of the fabric.
SewLibra: I used my tip of colored sticky dots to mark the wrong side. VERY important with a separating zipper. I took the half dot off before I sewed over it. LOL.
SewLibra: After the zip insertion, I used the clapper before topstitching.
SewLibra: Using a zipper foot for topstitiching the separating zipper.
SewLibra: Couldn't serge the inner collar seam, so I used the Brother overcast foot.
SewLibra: Step one of the invisible blind stitch.
SewLibra: Step two of the invisible blind stitch. There are only two steps!
SewLibra: After hand sewing inner collar.
